I live in New Brunswick, Canada (East Coast of Canada, 2 hours from Maine, USA border) with my wife Mia, our four German Shepherds and two children - Mason and Jesse. Mason is in high school, honors student, plays basketball and I am his team’s coach. Jesse is an electrician and is highly involved in schutzhund. He is a National level trial helper and is training his second dog from puppy toschutzhund 1 - at 19 years old.

I have been a figurant (helper) for over 27 years and teaching helper for 19 years, creating the GSSCC helper program. I have helped many friends achieve their canine sport goals, including podium finishes at numerous championships. I am also a decoy for many police dogs and have trained those police dogs in criminal apprehension.
I am a retired police officer after 34 years and own my own consulting company with a certified drug detection dog and bed bud detection dog where we actively are deployed to search areas.

I have been involved in the sport for over 28 years. I started as a handler training my first two puppies to the WUSV Championships. I have trained six (6) dogs from puppy to IGP 3, competing at the Canadian Championships and making a World Team with four of them. I have also trained several other dogs to a variety of titles.
